Chevrolet Spin Review 2013

Chevrolet Spin Review 2013

For the Asian and South American car markets, General Motors has revealed new and fresh Chevrolet Spin. Spin is basically a MPV version of the Chevrolet Cobalt Sedan that was introduced last year in selected car markets. The new Chevrolet Spin shares the platform and architecture with Chevrolet Cobalt. The exteriors surely have many similarities with Cobalt. However, General Motors India is no plans to bring this MPV to the country anytime soon. For the time being, the company has decided to launch the Chinese MPV called Enjoy. This will be launched in October 2012. Chevrolet Enjoy by General Motors will come packed with a 1.3 litre of Multi-jet diesel engine and would be priced within 6 to 8 lakh.

Coming back to Chevrolet Spin, the MPV has been developed by GM Brazil in its manufacturing plant located in Sao Paulo. The testing of the car took place in four diverse continents across the globe. Spin will officially be launched in Asia and South America in July 2012. So far GM has managed to keep the pricing of the MPV under covers. Chevrolet comes under the General Motors car brand, which was founded by William C. Durant on 3rd November 1911. The experiments in the starting of Chevrolet’s career took place at the workshop located in Detroit. Chevrolet’s prominent ‘bowtie’ logo was first used in 1914 and since then it has become the signature of Chevrolet Vehicles. The new Chevrolet Spin also has this bowtie positioned proudly on the front end of the car.

Performance

The Chevrolet Spin by general Motors appears to be an interesting MPV. The car will be offered in two variants, LT and LTZ. Both will sport 1.8 litre of Econo Flex engine that would produce peak power of 108HP when run on ethanol and about 106HP of power when run on gasoline. this engine is further mated with a five speed manual and six speed automatic transmission. this engine make sure that the engine gets all the strength and power to run smoothly on road along with securing the passengers and keeping the car easy on pocket.
